GEODECO
applies probabilistic
techniques coupled with non-linear dynamic analyses of structures
subject to multiple real ground motion recordings to assess the
structural damage at multiple levels of ground shaking (PSDA). For
this purpose, GEODECO has an extensive ground motion database which
includes thousands of seismograms recorded around the world. For
structural modelling we use a widely tested, internationally
recognized finite element software with an extended element library.
This probabilistic procedure allows us to assess the structural
performance, the compliance with seismic code requirements, the
quantification of safety margins, and, if appropriate, the
identification of the most cost-effective requalification solutions.
