Cost effective foundation-design in difficult ground conditions is part of GEODECO’s background. Pile foundations in soft delta formations, where large negative skin friction can develop, or in liquefaction-prone loose-saturated sand are just two examples. Underpinning of existing buildings to provide adequate bearing capacity and to prevent excessive settlements is part of GEODECO experience. Special care is taken in defining suitable ground-structure interaction parameters which are needed to evaluate the structure response under the action of the applied loads.
